Accounting Analyst, Consolidation & Audit

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid - Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Provide financial support to the Corporate Accounting function and the Corporate Controller. This includes analyzing financial statements, audits (internal and external), Statutory filings and consolidations. Support the business (Hospitality / Wellness / Lux Brands) from inventory management and major reserve standpoint. Controls the preparation of all legal financial data and audit reporting for the Consolidated Kohler Co. Audit. Provide direct support on all audits, planning and driving process improvements. Provide accounting support to all new ventures and acquisitions.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Support the Consolidated Audit of Kohler Co., including

  • Review, validate, and produce audit reports

  • Annual PBC process

  • Work with global audit team to address all Stat Audits

  • Analyze month-end results and quarterly major reserve balances.Provide timely analytical feedback to Corporate and Business Accounting and Finance teams that will assist in analysis.

  • Prepare the Kohler Co. Consolidation

  • Total Kohler Co

  • Hold Co sub consolidations

  • Business units including all associated eliminations

  • Responsible for enforcing the accounting policy for the business.The primary focus of these methodologies is to enhance properly stated financial statements and reduce audit risk.

  • Responsible for analyzing and communicating the actual results, forecasts, and plan for the Hospitality / Wellness / Lux Brands Businesses.Provide reporting and oversight to ensure business is managing Balance Sheet Reconciliations, based on monthly analysis.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationship with Treasury, partnering to ensure proper process, entries and controls are in place.

  • Actively engage in assisting the business to drive cost reductions and analyze proposed cost reductions to verify savings.

  • Assists all levels of business units in analyzing and understanding actual costs and variances through the creation of ongoing reports and the preparation of special studies.

  • Assist the business in the implementation of new or changing US GAAP pronouncements.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Director – Legal Consolidation & Audit. This may include post audits, monthly reconciliations, and assisting in internal & external audit analysis and support.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Three years plus of Public Accounting experience, CPA preferred

  • In addition to exhibiting the Core Competencies of: Build Trust, Drive Continuous Improvement, Focus on the End Customer, and Set High Standards of Performance, the person must exhibit competence in:

  • Accountability with the ability to work independently with guidance from offsite manager and peers.

  • Communication with cross- functional associates at various levels in the organization

  • Prioritization and time management

  • Basic to advanced ad hoc analysis

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $62,350 - $77,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
