Job Title: Medical Collections Specialist

Hours: M-F 7a-6p (8 hours/day within the core hours); 4month contract-to-hire, fully remote

• Training will be 4 weeks long so it is important that there are no attendance issues during those core 4 weeks!

Start date: 08/05/2024

Interview details: 07/09/2024, this is a one step virtual

Teams interview with the Supervisor and Manager of the team – you will be discussing current and past experience related to patient interaction and the ability to complete tasks independently

Must haves:

• Previous experience from a healthcare collections or billing role preferred

• Experience using multiple computer systems at one time

• Experience previously working with patients in a customer service or clinical role

Job description:

• Ability to handle 75+ inbound/outbound calls effectively, and perform daily collection on patient account balances to meet or exceed a monthly collection goal

• Analyze accounts for proper billing procedures and take necessary action to rebill/resolve as necessary, and utilize internal and external software to retrieve, input, or modify information needed to explain the charge and answer questions for patients

• Willingness to follow up with patients as needed to provide information related to account/balance resolution, and accurately document accounts including details related to the call
