POSITION PURPOSE:

Position is responsible for developing and managing the compliance, reporting, governance, and documentation programs for Supply Chain. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships between Supply Chain and other TVA SBUs. Responsible for developing learning models to assist TVA and its clients to capture, adapt, transfer, and reuse information and experience to improve individual, team, and organizational performance. Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, delivering, and monitoring the effectiveness of TVA’s Supply Chain governance, reporting, and compliance, and to drive TVA’s excellence in these efforts. The position leads programs strategically and interfaces/collaborates as key liaison with associated business partners. Accountable for proactive program improvement, quality, and results.

JOB DIMENSIONS:

Supervisory Responsibility — May lead program managers, team members, and others as necessary.

Budget Responsibility — None

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Serve as subject matter expert and ensure program governance is established and adhered to in order to support Supply Chain goals and objectives for compliance, reporting, governance, and documentation.

  • Manage program risk on behalf of Supply Chain.

  • Manage communication and messaging for these programs including policies, procedures, and business practices in place, documented, communicated, and effective to improve organizational efficiency and ensure compliance with agency and regulatory guidance.

  • Monitor program and related processes for gaps to ensure overall processes reflect best business practices and mitigate risks to the company in compliance, reporting, governance, and documentation.

  • Articulate program strategy and objectives to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate/liaise internal audits, reviews, submittals, and/or requests with business partners and internal Supply Chain members.

  • Direct the design, development, coordination, collaboration, implementation, and tracking/monitoring of strategic plans associated with Supply Chain compliance, reporting, governance, and documentation programs. Provides programmatic oversight and the application of quality tools and statistical methods to solve problems, analyze challenges, and proactively improve processes.

    Oversees program development and continuous improvement initiatives related to governance, compliance, audit, reporting, documentation, and corrective action programs for Supply Chain.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education – Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, math, related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience – Minimum of 10 years industry experience; experience in leadership; problem solving; program development and management and governance/compliance, as well as experience in analytics and technology. Root cause/green belt certification and experience is desirable.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Demonstrated managerial competencies such as leadership, planning/organizing, analysis, judgment, flexibility, interpersonal sensitivity, and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively develop and maintain relationships with a diverse group of individuals; proven ability to design and implement programs. Ability to influence and affect change at all levels. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.
