Your role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for anyone looking for their first step into HR business partnering. We are looking for an aspiring Junior HR Business Partner to join the Newsprinters team. Reporting into the Head of HR at Newsprinters, you will partner closely with the business on all people related processes and be the first point of contact for all HR queries.

Day to day you will:

  • Support the Head of HR in delivery of the people plan

  • Provide support to all colleagues and managers with any HR related matters

  • Work closely with colleagues and enabling functions to ensure effective delivery of the core HR cycle

  • Operate as a peer and the key HR contact for the Newsprinters management teams

  • Advise line managers effectively on a range of complex and challenging people issues

  • Manage employee relations cases in conjunction with relevant colleagues

  • Collate, maintain, interpret and present people data to enable data based decision making, ensuring one version of the truth

  • Support the Head of HR in managing the annual pay award cycle and related communications and engagement

  • Reinforce policies and practices and promptly assist to resolve issues, ensuring policies are up to date and fit for purpose alongside the Head of HR

  • Plan, coordinate and implement restructures and change management projects

  • Support the delivery of effective communication and engagement strategies

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Someone who is looking for the next step in their career and feels that they have what it takes to support the Head of HR drive HR initiatives and projects

  • You will have good proven problem-solving skills

  • You will have assisted a People team in either an advisor or support role

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk to people at all levels and offer advice in line with the company values

  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law

  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to all things people
