Summary:

The candidate will support procurement teams in the purchase of direct and indirect materials. Constant interfacing between users and suppliers will be included in the daily tasks in order to ensure all project requirements are met. The candidate will also be vigilant in discovering areas of improvement while taking into account aspects related to costs, timelines, safety, health, sustainability and quality.

What will you do

  • Create purchase orders for manufacturing campaigns (e.g., raw materials, product-contacting consumables, etc.) and for site services and other indirect materials (e.g., spare parts, etc.)

  • Quote negotiation as applicable.

  • Supervising open purchase orders with associated suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product and required documentation.

  • Capture the appropriate information to support vendor/supplier qualification, quote requests, service contracts, blanket orders and value contracts.

  • Support the creation and revision of procurement and logistics standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other written documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with all external legal requirements and internal guidelines relating to ethical conduct and customer confidentiality.

How will you get here

Education

Associate Degree in procurement or natural science at minimum preferred.

Previous procurement experience would also be considered.

Experience

  • At least 2 years Purchasing or related experience

  • SAP and Ariba experience preferred.

  • Supply Chain education or work experience a plus.

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CIRM, CSCP) a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Maintains a team-player mentality with a focus on practical process improvements (PPI).

  • Flexible with proven ability to multi-task.

  • Sense of priority and ability to work autonomously.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with organization of tasks, work, and documentation.
