Google Program Manager III, Privacy Platforms, Android in Kirkland, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.

  • Experience managing a privacy program.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with privacy related tools such as Launch, Privacy Design Documents and Privacy Compass.

  • Experience with different perspectives across multiple functions including product, privacy, security, and legal.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with multiple levels (e.g., executive leadership team, peers, and managers).

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The team provides early privacy consultation during product development and launch-related privacy reviews for products, services and features for the Android platform. The team works to help ensure that products are respected and earn user trust, and that launch, collect, store, and use data in accordance with Google's Privacy Principles.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Establish and lead operating processes and tools for managing the reviews and strategies set of work handled by the team.

  • Manage team continuous improvement initiatives and identify and report on success metrics for each project.

  • Keep team members apprised of changes, working to engage in testing, piloting, and feedback opportunities to further the team's interests and point of view for Android needs.

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to evaluate a variety of support requests from product teams to recommend actions or develop related plans for addressing requests.

  • Manage strategic planning process in coordination with reviews and strategies and Lead Program Managers to address short, medium, and long-term priorities including trainings and metrics reporting.
