Located 96 miles southeast of Raleigh Durham airport, Kinston is a city in Lenoir County, North Carolina, with a population of 21,677 as of the 2010 census. It has been the county seat of Lenoir County since its formation in 1791. Kinston is located in the coastal plains region of eastern North Carolina. In 2009, Kinston won the All-America City Award.

The plant was built in 1993 with an addition in 1995, manufactures paper cups and cartons, and has approximately 350 employees.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the maintenance department:

· Manage daily and weekly workflow of maintenance technicians, creating team schedules and delegating tasks.

· Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets safety and efficiency standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.

· Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures.

· Assess the work performance of employees, identifies skills for improvement, and implement individual training plan for employees by use of SMART goals.

· Administers training programs to ensure proper operations, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.

· Maintains inventory of spare parts.

· Ensure business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met.

· Oversees maintenance mechanics, tool crib attendant and electro-mechanical

· Ensure all employees work in compliance with Pactiv Evergreen policies.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • 5 years related experience required including supervisory experience.

  • Ability to read drawings such as electrical schematics, P&ID’s (control loops), and ladder logic as an aid in troubleshooting

  • Identify and correct issues with PLCs, HMI displays, safety/operational interlocks, photo eyes, control circuits, drives and servos.

  • Strong communications skills (both written and verbal).

  • Ability to provide technical and management practice recommendations through formal and informal communication.

  • Problem solving skills and ability to analyze various manufacturing, maintenance and mechanical related issues.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality

  • Computer skills and knowledge of collaboration tools

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
