Job Type: Full time

Contract Duration: 18 months Sept 2024- March 2026

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for overseeing the food safety (GSFI) and business management systems and ensure product meets or exceeds quality and food safety standards.

Ensure good communication with Customers and Suppliers, as well as Pac, Print and Livonia coworkers. Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

Develop, implement, and maintain internal system, policies, procedures, work instructions, forms and documents. Ensure compliance to GFSI and regulatory requirements. Stay informed and implement changes to regulations and Customer specific requirements.

INTERNAL AUDITING AND INSPECTIONS:

Schedule, perform and share audit and inspection findings with the HACCP team, Issue Corrective and Preventive actions as required to maintain compliance. Ensure daily, weekly and monthly inspections are completed, reviewed and issues addressed at PAC and Print. Ensure lot traceability procedures are reviewed in a timely manner. Ensure mock recalls are performed for PAC, Print and

Rigids. Conduct necessary Food Defense challenges as required.

HACCP AND MANAGEMENT REVIEW MEETINGS:

Schedule, document and maintain monthly HACCP meetings. Ensure quality tracking and reporting is up to date and reviewed during both the monthly HACCP meetings and the annual Management Review Meetings. Review changes to the QMS with the Management team and ensure all HACCP Plans are reviewed and updated. Assist promoting Food Safety Culture in the facilities, including office staff.

VENDOR, SUPPLIER & CONTRACTOR APPROVAL PROCESS:

Ensure all documentation is up to date for all vendors. Work with key suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain product quality.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:

Work with Customer Service to handle and track all Customer Complaints. Ensure all food safety documentation is provided to our customers in a timely manner.

ANNUAL OUTSIDE INSPECTIONS:

Follow up on Pest Management for both PAC and Print.

Schedule annual water testing for PAC and Print.

Schedule annual scale calibration.

Schedule annual backflow prevention inspections for both PAC and Print.

Schedule ASI annual food safety inspections.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 2-5 years of related experience in a food safety management

  • Proficient with MS Suite

  • GSFI Standards

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • QMS Administration

  • Auditor Certification

  • HACCP Certification
