Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe Finance Systems Analyst in Kingston, Washington

*Job Summary: * The Finance Systems Analyst position is responsible for the implementation and administration of the Tribe's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system and other financial systems and software applications operated by the Tribe.

[Duties and Responsibilitie]{.underline}[s Includes:]{.underline}

  • Gathering and analyzing process requirements of the Tribe and configuring the ERP system to efficiently meet those requirements.
  • Plans for Accounting system projects and process improvements.
  • Monitors system updates and upgrades and plans for timely implementation of system changes to minimize disruption.
  • Administers user access and security.
  • Serves as liaison to the Information Technology department.
  • Ensures efficient maintenance and operation of financial systems to provide optimum functionality.
  • Ensures data integrity and security.
  • Ensures financial systems are backed up and able to be restored on short notice.
  • Prepares and maintains procedural and training manuals.
  • Provides training for users of the Tribe's financial systems.
  • Acting as the primary help desk contact for financial systems support.
  • Manages master files and vendor licensing agreements.
  • Troubleshooting system and hardware issues.
  • Cross train with other accounting positions in the department.

``` - Maintain contacts of a positive nature with co-workers in the accounting department, all tribal staff, vendor partners, and others to accomplish the Tribe's financial objectives and preserve good public relations. - Assists in compiling, organizing, or preparing pertinent information for audits as required. - Attends and participates in various staff meetings. - Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Director.

[Qualifications:]{.underline}

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Applied Sciences, Software Development, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field required. A combination of relevant education and experience in lieu of the education requirement will be considered.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three to five years of accounting experience required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with complex financial application system software projects including system maintenance and support.
  • Experience with fund accounting software preferred.
  • Possess a clear understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of database theory and design, routine maintenance, and recovery required.
