Job Title: Pump Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Pump Technician and play a crucial role in maintaining landfill gas operations. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining the wells and pumps that run the landfill gas collection system. Your duties will also include performing operation and maintenance (O&M) on various liquid management systems, such as pneumatic or electric driven pumps. This involves pulling, cleaning, repairing, and replacing pumps onsite. Additionally, you will work with Schedule 80 PVC or HDPE piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping materials. Develop a basic understanding of environmental regulations related to Landfill Gas (LFG) and Gas Collection and Control Systems (GCCS). You will also adhere to job-related and site-specific health and safety requirements and procedures, and be available for on-call response to GCCS related malfunction events.

Hard Skills

• 2+ years of landfill O&M experience

• Experience in maintenance of pumps and gas wells

• 40 HR HAZWOPER is a plus

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Church Hill, Tennessee. Will also travel to Knoxville once a month or other sites to support if partners are out on vacation.

Work EnvironmentPrimarily based in Church Hill, TN with occasional travel to Knoxville, TN. May also travel to GA to support other sites as needed. You will work alongside experienced technicians, contributing to a knowledgeable and supportive team.About Actalent
