Responsibilities

The IT Service Architect for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a pivotal role within Eastman, whose main objective is to align technology solutions with business strategies, advancing IBP maturity, adoption, and value creation across the enterprise. This goal is achieved by designing robust solutions with OMP and SAP, building cross functional partnerships based on credibility and trust, leveraging deep IBP knowledge to positively impact the overall direction of the domain, supporting large corporate projects from scoping to deployment, ensuring consistent day-to-day operations, and facilitating discussions in an effective and impactful way.

• Serve as the IT architect for IBP initiatives, ensuring consistent delivery and operations across the enterprise to support business strategy and managed service offerings • Collaborate with business leadership and the IBP Center of Excellence to develop a detailed solutions delivery roadmap • Lead workshops and facilitate discussions that meet business requirements, while promoting standard technology offerings and industry best practices • Take a proactive approach to identify opportunities for overcoming business challenges and proposing innovative solutions to complex problems • Support and lead enterprise projects, including scoping, design, execution, and testing, while providing in-depth knowledge of the IBP domain • Ensure the integrity of IBP solution design while maintaining a strategic enterprise view by collaborating with other Architects and delivery teams to identify common needs and capabilities • Design robust end-to-end planning solutions, combining OMP’s unison platform (Forecasting, S&OP, and OPR), SAP ERP execution (SAP-PP, SAP-PP/PI, SAP-MM), and Reporting (SAP, BI Data Warehouse) to achieve defined business outcomes, focusing on automation, core planning functionality, interfaces, workflows, and data management • Design solutions for seamless integration with the IBP technology ecosystem • Ensure the design and implementation of solutions addresses appropriate security measures regarding risk mitigation • Guide IT delivery teams and business partners in process and solution support, ensuring alignment with architectural direction • Collaborate to identify technical debt, develop remediation plans, and drive innovation through proof-of-concept activities • Mentor and ensure adherence to business and technology best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Science, or Engineering is required • Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT or IT-adjacent roles, with a focus on IBP or related Supply Chain processes • Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and implementation of IBP solutions, such as Forecasting/Demand Planning, S&OP and detailed planning / scheduling (OMP Preferred) • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an architectural or related role • Demonstrated expertise in IT architecture, including principles, frameworks, and agile practices • Experience with cloud-based software and platforms is preferred • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Excellent written and verbal communicator, facilitates large workshops and small conversations with equal levels of effectiveness • Knowledge and experience of integration of the planning function with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Sourcing, Logistics and Costing functions. • Extensive hands-on experience in Demand Planning, Statistical Forecasting, Consumption-Based Planning, Reorder Point Planning, MRP, MPS, Long-Term Planning, Capacity Planning, Production Scheduling, Batch Management, and Serial Number Management for both discrete and process industries • Proficient in Supply Chain Planning Master Data Maintenance, including Material Master, Bills of Material, Work Centers, Routings, Vendor Master, Customer Master, Info Records, Source Lists, Schedule Agreements, and Contracts. • OMP Author certification or Contributor Certification preferred • Industry leading supply chain certification, such as, APICS CPIM, IBF CPF, IBF ACPF preferred
