Responsibilities You will plan direct and coordinate the overall goals and objectives of 10 employees within the Strategic Weapons Facilities, Atlantic (SWFLANT) Executive Department. You will develop and direct long range planning for the department functional areas to meet mission requirements and resolve unusual or precedent-setting problems. You will effectively communicate with other Departments’ senior leadership to accomplish department and overall command mission objectives and goals. You will organize and manage Executive Department workflow and processes, ensuring that Executive Department employees understand their duties and/or delegated tasks. You will monitor and oversee Executive Department employee productivity and provides constructive feedback, coaching, and mentorship to department personnel to ensure maximum workforce engagement and efficiency. You will need to possess strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate critical conversations in a manner that promotes positive mission accomplishment. You will continually observe and analyze existing Executive Department operations and processes to identify gaps in efficiency, develop and implement solutions when necessary to ensure department meets command objectives. You will be responsible for planning, delegating, assigning, and directing work and setting priorities for work performed by subordinate employees and ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. You will provide technical advice and guidance on how work is to be accomplished and make decisions on any complex problems or situations raised by subordinate employees. You will manage command initiatives dealing with organization, work methods, people, documentation, analysis, training, military pay and personnel, and other management tools and resources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: present information to obtain consensus or approval from command leadership on difficult or controversial topics and manage technical/administrative operations and associated programs (e.g. training, travel, technical evaluation, public affairs, correspondence, military personnel, etc.).
