Reference #: 4499786 THE POSITION The Department of Transportation's District 6-0 Engineering Office is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a General Real Estate Appraiser vacancy! Apply Today!   DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of your role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research on courthouse records in order to identify the type of ownership, easements, and other recorded covenants. Additionally, you will need to carefully analyze and comprehend deed descriptions. In order to ensure that the appraisal accurately reflects all relevant information about the property, you will also need to visit the property in question and interview the owner to gather any additional details. This will include information related to the property's fair market value, depreciation, any existing liens or judgments, as well as considerations such as gas and mineral rights, and any damages that may have occurred.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of probationary period. Schedule is still to be determined. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements: Position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified General Real Estate Appraiser certification. Position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
