Controller

A client of ours is looking for a Controller for a contract role to oversee accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures adherence to GAAP principles, manages month-end close, and prepares financial statements while optimizing internal controls. The ideal candidate will have experience in audit and compliance, accounts payable/receivable, and financial forecasting. NetSuite and manufacturing industry experience are a plus.

Responsibilities of Controller

• Direct general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Oversee month-end close and financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP.

• Manage audit and compliance processes, ensuring timely filings and adherence to regulations.

• Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring proper reconciliations.

• Analyze and reconcile general ledger, revenue, and expenditures for financial accuracy.

• Monitor CRM and financial data integrity to generate reports and forecast business trends.

• Support tax compliance efforts in coordination with external accountants.

  Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.

• 10+ years of accounting leadership experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.

• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Background in manufacturing is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of audit procedures, compliance requirements, and financial reporting
