Description
Controller
A client of ours is looking for a Controller for a contract role to oversee accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures adherence to GAAP principles, manages month-end close, and prepares financial statements while optimizing internal controls. The ideal candidate will have experience in audit and compliance, accounts payable/receivable, and financial forecasting. NetSuite and manufacturing industry experience are a plus.
Responsibilities of Controller
Direct general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Oversee month-end close and financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP.
Manage audit and compliance processes, ensuring timely filings and adherence to regulations.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring proper reconciliations.
Analyze and reconcile general ledger, revenue, and expenditures for financial accuracy.
Monitor CRM and financial data integrity to generate reports and forecast business trends.
Support tax compliance efforts in coordination with external accountants.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Controller
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
10+ years of accounting leadership experience.
Strong understanding of accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Background in manufacturing is a plus.
Strong knowledge of audit procedures, compliance requirements, and financial reporting
