Job Summary:

The Barback/Bartender Assistant supports the bartenders by ensuring the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and organized. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a smooth and efficient bar operation, allowing bartenders to focus on providing excellent customer service and crafting beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stocking and Inventory Management:

  • Keep the bar stocked with essential supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and utensils.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the bar manager of low stock items.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries.

• Bar Maintenance and Cleanliness:

  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including wiping down counters, cleaning glassware, and ensuring bar equipment is in good working condition.
  • Collect and wash dirty glassware, utensils, and other bar tools.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling properly and regularly.

• Customer Support:

  • Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, refilling ice bins, and ensuring the bar is well-equipped for service.
  • Support bartenders during busy periods by taking orders, serving drinks, and interacting with customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and requests.

• Operational Support:

  • Set up and break down the bar area before and after shifts, including arranging seating, restocking supplies, and cleaning.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with bar promotions, events, and special activities as needed.
