Hourly Rate 9.43

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - 19.5 hrs/wk as scheduled per semester

Summary of Position

Overall duties and responsibilities are maintaining the Tool Room, storing, issuing, and receiving tools, cleaning tools, equipment, and facilities and assisting the Instructor/s in ensuring that tools, equipment, and facilities belonging to the applicable Department are well maintained, clean, safe, and accounted for.

Minimum Required Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Required Experience

Six months wage earning experience in a related field preferred. Prefer experience working with hand/ power tools, materials and fluids, and gases used in the automotive career field.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Know the names and uses of hand, power and shop tools, lubricants, fluids, and gases associated with the job.

• Ability to organize and maintain Tool Room Operations.

• Communicate in the English language (Read, Write and Speak); writing must be legible.

• Ability to work well with others and able to work with limited supervision.

• Establish and maintain a Tool Locator File System, tool display and inventory system.

• Must be highly motivated and have the ability to answer the telephone and communicate information to callers.

• Perform basic cleaning, painting and repair skills (tools, equipment and facilities).
