Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 40

Summary of Position

To teach college transfer courses and/or workforce-based courses in Agricultural Sciences and Horticulture as needed, and to assist in maintaining and coordinating the CTC Greenhouse.

Minimum Required Education

Master’s Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in Agriculture or related discipline required, with three years’ work experience in Horticulture.

Minimum Required Experience

Minimum of three years in an Agriculture or Horticulture related industry. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of and an active participant in the Agriculture industry.

• Proficiency in the use of agriculture equipment and machinery operation.

• Computer literacy required, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to communicate with written and oral expertise in the English language.

• Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.

• Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
