Hourly Rate 15.38

Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30, Overtime, describe requirements - During peak registration

Summary of Position

Under direct supervision of the Associate Director of Financial Aid and indirect supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, Responsible for technical support of the Financial Aid Department, to include communications management, ISIR importing and exporting, reconciliation of Title IV PELL Grant with Dept of Education, and annual year set up with Associate Director. Aligning system software processes with federal and state regulatory updates.

Minimum Required Education

Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

Four years full time wage earning experience required, of which two years of progressively responsible financial aid experience required. Prefer Financial aid or administrative experience in an institution of higher education.

A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts required with application for evaluation purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of all facets of financial aid.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial aid systems to include: Colleague or similar software programs including knowledge of Title IV Dept of Education Programs.

  • Advanced knowledge of Federal and State laws, policies and regulations with regards to student aid.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Demonstrated organization skills

  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional student situations to deescalate situations while maintaining self-control and focus on solving conflict.

  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.

  • Display empathy and positive regard for others in written, verbal and non-verbal communications.

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to be detail-oriented; able to interpret and explain the College’s financial aid policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of students and their records prescribed through FERPA .
