Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Physics

FLSA Exempt

Full Time/Part Time Part Time

Department Physical Sciences

Campus Central Campus

Location Central Campus

Salary PTEA

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week

Summary of Position

To teach face to face lecture and lab courses as assigned by the Department Chair to include PHYS 1401, 1402, 1403, 1404, 1415, 2425, and 2426. Selected applicants will be interviewed for possible Part-Time teaching assignments in the Science Department.

Minimum Required Education

Masters Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours concentrated in Physics, but some of which may include Chemistry, Geology, and Astronomy required.

Minimum Required Experience

Community college and/or secondary teaching experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate with written and oral expertise in the English language.

  • Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.

  • Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
