Position Title Adjunct Faculty - ADN Nursing Clinical

FLSA Exempt

Full Time/Part Time Part Time

Salary $30.00

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - 19.5

Summary of Position

The nursing faculty member performs essential functions to assure quality nursing education for students. Assumes responsibility for Clinical assignments and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education

Master’s Degree in Nursing from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required.

Minimum Required Experience

A minimum of 3 years of recent full time wage earning nursing clinical experience, preferably one of those in teaching.

Hold a current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Competence in all basic areas of nursing practice. Communicate with the Nursing Program Director for assignment and professional development every semester. Receive direction from the Semester Coordinator and /or Lead Instructor of the course assignment. Communication and collaboration with faculty team and clinical agencies and health team personnel. To know the Texas Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations relating to Professional Nurse Education, Licensure and Practice for the State of Texas and implementation of them. Technological/computer literacy. Knowledgeable about Distance Learning processes and practices.

Eligible for coverage under CTC’s commercial auto and other liability insurance policies.
