Description
We are offering a great opportunity for an Accounting Analyst in the Monmouth County, New Jersey area. This role will involve tasks such as processing customer invoicing, maintaining vendor relationships, and conducting financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle the processing of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc customer invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Post customer payments received via check or ACH to the general ledger, and reconcile any discrepancies
• Maintain and analyze weekly aging reports, reconciling them to the periodic general ledger close
• Address and resolve any inquiries related to vendor invoicing and payments
• Conduct daily collection calls for past due invoices to maintain financial health
• Foster strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and store operators
• Ensure timely payment by requesting and following up on monthly vendor statements
• Conduct account reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist with the preparation of year-end audit schedules as needed for outside annual audit
• Review and prepare monthly credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for
• Handle special projects independently or as part of a group and provide support to other finance departments as needed.
Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Demonstrated ability to perform thorough bank reconciliations.
• Experience with cash flow analysis to support business decision-making.
• Proficiency in credit card reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High degree of professionalism and adherence to strict confidentiality protocols.
