Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The role involves managing suppliers for sourcing new parts and components, consulting with Operations on building new lines and dFMEA, and engaging in design work. Approximately 70%-80% of your time will be dedicated to design work, with the remaining 30% involving reverse engineering, R&D, working with suppliers, and launching new products and installing new systems with Operations. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize knowledge of engineering design principles to generate sound designs that meet customer needs in terms of safety, innovation, and utility. - Develop, evaluate, and validate designs to meet product requirements and cost targets through design reviews. - Establish a foundation for success in manufacturing by implementing and utilizing built-in quality (BIQ) and design for manufacturing (DFM) practices. - Manage engineering changes for both new machine design and existing products. - Detail piece part technical drawings, weldment technical drawings, assembly prints, and specifications to enable the production team to correctly fabricate, weld, and assemble all engineering output. - Collaborate with the manufacturing team to turn proprietary designs into real factory outputs by optimizing the design for manufacturing methods, material selection, and material flow. - Support new product releases, including engineering, manufacturing, and field commissioning.
