Alaskan and Proud Markets is a locally owned and operated Grocery Store headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to join our Ketchikan team. This position is for a Full Time Cook. There is a great opportunity for advancement within the Alaskan and Proud Operations. Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic understanding of commercial kitchen operations
• Strong work ethic and dependable
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Follow recipes and direction of shift supervisor
• Must be able to obtain Food Worker Card within 30 days
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand/walk for a full 8-hr work period
• Basic full body motions: bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, reaching
• Flexibility with work schedule (including weekends and holidays)
• Have reliable transportation options to make it to work on time
• Ability to arrive to work on time ready to start work
• Must be over 21 years of age

*Duties and Responsibilities: *

• Cooking, frying and following AP recipes
• Assembling Grab n Go Meals per recipes
• Taking and Tracking Temperature logs
• Cleaning and Maintaining work and merchandising areas
• Merchandising products as directed
• Misc. job tasks as assigned by store director or supervisor
• Obtain and keep a current Food Worker Card
• Follow and comply with company policies and procedures
• Follow and comply with Health and Safety policies
• Contributing to a Positive Work Atmosphere
