GENERAL SCOPE: The QCT – Quality Control Technician is responsible for day-to-day quality control, lot code traceability, WIP inventory and basic sanitation required during the normal shift schedule. The QCT is required to ensure the company is compliant with all SQF and regulatory/quality standards, including GMPs and Sanitation. The QCT – Quality Control Technician reports to the SQF Practitioner. However, during the time on the floor, the Floor Supervisor may be designated as “Manager in Charge;” however, ultimate reporting is to the SQF Practitioner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct daily GMPs check.

• Conduct pre shift checks with operators.

• Sign off on first piece inspection forms.

• Conduct regular (3) finished product specs on each machine.

• Complete all straw inspections and fill out straw inspection forms correctly.

• Complete all machine line inspections and fill out line inspection forms correctly in their entirety.

• Make colored resin daily (MCD red/white and yellow/white).

• Monitor color resin levels on all production lines and ensure that ample color resin is supplied to each machine (3-4 times a shift).

• Monitor all production lines to ensure they are operating in a clean, efficient manner meeting and exceeding all the SQF requirements and regulatory standards.

• Oversee all lot codes produced, prior to sending to the machines. Create the lot codes and sign off on daily lot codes.

• Move all inventory to WIP area and publish the daily lot codes for production assembly.

• Conduct raw materials checks and inspection on all daily receiving.

• Monitor the HOLD area and resolve the disposition of the product.

• Record all non-conforming straws/items in Gorilla Docs and work with Floor Supervisors to resolve issues.

• Monitor waste for each line and report any abnormal amounts to management.

• Clean and Sanitize water tanks, as needed.

• Conduct Chemical tests as scheduled.

• Report all non-compliances to management.

• Report any issues that arise with an operator immediately to the shift Supervisor. Being confrontational with any employee will not be tolerated and can lead to disciplinary action.

• Add maintenance fixes to the maintenance app – as required.

• Any other task as assigned.
