Robert Half Accountant in Kent, Washington

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the construction industry based in Kent, Washington. This role focuses on the job function of an Accountant, where the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, managing the full cycle of accounting activities, and working closely with third-party associates.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage financial transactions, keeping them organized and updated

• Oversee daily bookkeeping and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded

• Analyze financial data and prepare forecasts

• Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps, or variances

• Handle sales tax operations, including computation and preparations

• Manage and track fixed assets and other accounting elements

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes timely and accurately

• Engage in account balances and bank statements reconciliations

• Review budgets periodically to ensure financial longevity and growth

• Collaborate effectively with third-party tax handlers to ensure tax compliance

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with ERP Solutions and Great Plains (GPAC)

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing and Budget Processes. Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)

• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Auditing

• Understanding and experience of Budget Processes

• Experience in financial reporting and regulatory standards

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) is desirable but not mandatory.
