NOW HIRING- DIRECT HIRE Quality Assurance Technician A food manufacturing company in Kenosha, WI is currently looking for an experienced Q.A tech. This position is responsible for determining the basic quality of product and referring questionable situations

• Checks quality of products according to specifications

• Preforms line checks

• Testing on material to make sure no leaks/holes

• Contact Swabbing of material

• log / File paperwork/ Computer work- Report findings

• GMP environment

Responsibilities

• Checks quality parameters of the products according to the specification.

• Performs line checks to make sure the correct product is being produced with correct specifications including metering sheets to measure feet of product in tubes.

• Perform Quality checks of the printed material by comparing sample material to newly printed casing.

• Conducts testing to ensure perforated holes are according to customer specifications and tube checks to detect holes in shirred casings using a water or Insty-Shir system.

• Conduct ATP swabbing at the beginning of each shift or after Maintenance repairs.

• Handle all RTAs (Returned goods) and customer complaints as required while following the process in coordination with several departments and perform final disposition.

• File production paperwork as required throughout the day.

• Help answer production question's when necessary.

• Handle Inventory transactions and maintenance of the Quality Inventory while also transferring inventory internally as required.

• Understanding and using RedZone database and training operators on it.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
