Job Description Summary The Sr. Specialist of North America Procurement, Transportation, will be responsible for managing Procurement & program optimization for $150m in rail freight expenditures across the North America business. This role will serve as a key contributor to NA Procurement by aiding execution of long & short-term objectives aligned with the company's mission + overall strategic goals related to growth, cost savings, supply continuity & risk management. This role will develop & execute a strategic vision for procurement to drive key rail & intermodal outcomes by serving as a trusted partner/advisor to CSP&L operations. In addition, the Sr. Specialist will be tasked with acting as a change agent, furthering the deployment of best-in-class procurement capabilities to support CSP&L in deploying innovative improvements to rail procurement procedures, processes & systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Strong people skills & the ability to interface at all levels of the enterprise will be essential or this role to drive the intended organizational change. Job Description Job Responsibilities: * Optimize a $150m "book of business" toward company cost, quality, delivery & service objectives * Lead strategy development & deployment for North America rail procurement requirements * Shift the sourcing process from transactional bidding to execution of a long-term, strategic plan that is aligned with key CSP&L & operating leaders * Oversee critical supplier negotiation strategy development & execution * Focus on delivering incredible customer experience, sensitive to the company culture & ways of working, valuing Lead stakeholder engagement, collaboration of teams & supplier relationships * Drive the continuous improvement process of network optimization for the distribution cycle * Lead complex sourcing efforts & negotiations with rail suppliers * Identify opportunities to continue to optimize rail/truck mix * Consult with Legal to enable negotiation of contracts in an efficient & effective manner * Contribute procurement performance & inflationary targets as part of annual planning cycle Basic & Preferred Qualifications Position Qualifications: (Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job or be considered) * 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Logistics, Supply-Chain, or equivalent industry/subject matter * Experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry a plus * Bachelor's degree is required, Masters in a business-related field a plus * Demonstrated top performance in prior role(s) * Knowledge of SAP ERP & related systems in To view the full job description,
