Our team is looking for an Ansible Automation Engineer to join our team during an exciting time for a new Ansible buildout. Our team manages 35,000 physical and virtual OS nodes covering RHEL, Windows Server, and AIX across multiple datacenters in the country. Applicants should be familiar with operating system management, troubleshooting, build tasks, lifecycle management, networking such as routing tables and dual home setups. You will also be working with different customer intakes for security management, application deployment, software and hardware configurations. Knowledge and experience with Puppet is fantastic as we currently leverage Puppet for all our infrastructure management. Job Responsibilities: Technical Engineering Services Supports our organization with software deployments, security remediation, OS configuration, and infrastructure management with Automation tooling such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, Chef, SCCM. Strong independent drive for initiative, excellence, accuracy, and best practices. Technical Leadership Collaborate with technical teams and applies system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Continuously learning new technologies. Technical Writing Writes basic documentation on how technology works and supply clear documentation for new code and systems used. Documenting systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption at the engineer level. Technology Strategy Contributes to new technologies to deliver business goals. Understands current technology supporting business goals using system protocols, how systems operate and data flows. Encouraged to independently develop a full software stack while understanding the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work. Partner with system engineers to define system requirement and/or vital requirements for automation. Innovation Presents new insights which improve an existing system/process/service using new frameworks. Express fresh opinions based on independent study of the industry. Review current company processes to highlight questions to drive process refinement. Work Experience: 2-4 years Technical engineering experience. (Required) Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SCCM, etc. Proficient with Python, Ruby, BASH, PowerShell. Experience in an Agile environment. Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and GitLab. OS Management - RHEL, Windows, AIX Experience in Kubernetes. Experience working in a private cloud environment (VMWare/OpenShift).
