CDR Maguire Project Accountant l in Kendall, Florida

This role oversees comprehensive financial management for company projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses against budgets. Responsibilities include preparing detailed budget forecasts, monitoring project costs, and delivering regular financial updates to indicate whether projects are on track financially. Additionally, the position may involve drafting proposals for new projects, providing insights on projected costs and revenue, and advising management on financial feasibility and potential profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage financial data and budgets for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
Collaborate with project teams to collect data, generate reports, draft proposals, and evaluate project profitability.
Conduct thorough cost analysis for supplies, labor, and other essential resources to ensure accurate budgeting and support efficient project completion.
Regularly monitor budgets to ensure projects meet financial targets and remain on schedule.
Partner closely with project teams and corporate accounting to maintain financial transparency and support project success.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports and financial statements for all Health entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Processing vendor payments, payroll, and checks, ensuring they are completed in compliance with financial policies and procedures, and that all transactions are recorded accurately.
Prepare accurate invoices to clients on a monthly basis and in accordance with company invoicing schedule.
Prepare bank reconciliations monthly as well as other standard accounting monthly closing procedures.
Assist with the timely submission of tax returns in conjunction with CDR Health parent company financial team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and overseeing the reconciliation of general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum experience of two to five years in accounting, finance or related areas.
Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
Prior experience in project-based accounting is preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences in various settings.
Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high level of quality.
Capacity to perform effectively under high-pressure situations.
Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and Overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends.
Must be willing to travel as required by company needs.
