Xylem have an exciting opportunity Reporting directly to the Engineering and Design Manager, the Automation and Commissioning Technician is responsible for the PLC programming, bench simulation, site testing and commissioning and technical support to ensure smooth execution of the automation and commissioning aspects of treatment projects.

The Role:

• Application and modification of standard PLC and HMI Code for water and wastewater treatment equipment and systems to suit project requirements.

• Update standard functional descriptions to suit project.

• Produce from the template project specific documentations including interface list, alarm list, bench test procedure and report, site test & commissioning procedure and report.

• Join bench simulation tests.

• Provides technical training for end users and Xylem Service Technicians.

• Site execution of PLC/HMI programming and instrumentation setup on existing and new implementations of treatment systems.

• Provides technical training for end users and Xylem Service Technicians.

About You:

• Full Australian Licenced Electrician

• Site troubleshooting and commissioning skills.

• Relevant experience in PLC programming in Rockwell and Siemens

• Experienced in water and wastewater treatment plants (Highly desirable)

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

• Highly customer solution focused.
