Position Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst analyzes spending, system data, and project data for the Strategic Sourcing Department to support the completion of all assignments for C&S, ES3, and all other subsidiaries of the C&S Family of Companies. This role performs analyses for contracting, strategic sourcing, standardization, supplier management, and utilization initiatives. This roles identifies and forecast savings or losses under varying conditions of utilization and contract compliance. The works performed helps with full visibility on spend, identifies saving opportunities and realize incremental savings, aligns and streamlines procurement processes across business units, manages risk and spending to ensure compliance, and evaluates supplier performance for better relationship management. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst works closely with team members, suppliers, contractors, and with business units across the network.

Job Description

• Coordinate with Stakeholders across the enterprise to create, manage, and execute both reverse and forward auction events. Identify and train supplier participants; develop detailed product and service specifications; develop, review and execute auction strategy with Stakeholders; and monitor in-process events to ensure successful participation and completion. Manage the growth and strategy of the Esourcing program by identifying potential business partners and products. Prepare and review financial analysis of auction events, including baseline assumptions and auction savings. Calculate, track and report metrics to measure event and program success. Leverage use of Ariba technology for RFx activities, providing SME support to department team members.

• Develop spend analysis from OBIEE and other platforms to develop total spend and breakdown for each category. Streamline and automate analytical processes on all initiatives to maximize efficiencies. Work with Strategic Sourcing team members and business units to develop standardized bid sheets and tracking tools. Proficiently report results to various partners across the organization including senior management.

• Complete assigned tasks by developing competencies in areas of work assignments and using strategic sourcing policies. Develop analytics to support Strategic Sourcing team members and business units to add value and achieve results on all assignments. Complete analytics utilizing department specific applications and other platforms. Provide project support involving cost analysis and cross-referencing of new technologies and projects. Lead sourcing/purchasing projects as assigned, including application of Seven Step sourcing methodology and organization purchasing policy.

• Engage business owners and Strategic Sourcing team members to identify potential sourcing initiatives and purchasing compliance opportunities to realize savings and increased process efficiencies.

• Work with Strategic Sourcing team members and suppliers to track compliance with contracted key performance indicators and facilitate supplier performance improvements. Generate reports to audit supplier performance to ensure compliance with policies and contracts.

Years Of Experience

• 2-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of formal training and related experience, preferably in a warehouse/purchasing/manufacturing environment.

• Experience with Warehouse and Transportation Operations and/or systems, Accounts Payable systems, Forecasting, Budgeting, Cost Accouting a plus
