Radiology CT Technician PRN

Fast-paced, high-volume, Diagnostic Radiology Department is looking for a top skilled Rad/CT Tech. Is that you?

WORK LOCATION : Texas Health Kaufman, 850 Ed Hall Drive, Kaufman, TX

DEPARTMENT : Diagnostic Radiology

WORK HOURS : Per Diem (PRN) As needed - Varied Shifts

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Education :

· Other – Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or

· Associate degree preferred.

Experience :

· 1-year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT – CT required or

· No experience w/ ARRT - CT

Licenses and Certifications :

· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, R, upon hire required and

· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic, CT, w/no radiology technician experience upon hire or

· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, CT, w/1 year radiology technician experience within 12 months of hire and

· CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, either by TDH or TMB, upon hire and

· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

SKILLS:

· Imaging Quality and Processing:

· Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.

· Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.

· Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.

· Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
