Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field.

Work Experiences:

  • 6+ years of experience in UI Engineering, Web Development, Software Development or similar

  • Working Experience leading development teams in the development and delivery of rich customer experiences

  • Working Experience building web experiences with HTML5, CSS, JS

  • React not required but a plus

Skills:

  • Advanced experience in developing user interfaces for mobile and desktop, responsive design, and cross-platform native applications

  • Ability to effectively communicate development strategy and rationale to key stakeholders, and work with the team and peers to collaborate on solutions

  • Advanced experience with HTML5, CSS, and JS

  • Self-starter; takes initiative; able to quickly grasp needs, understand/break down challenges and attack projects without much direction

  • Excellent communication skills; able to work with a wide variety of people, positions, and personalities

  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills

  • A passion for self-growth; open to feedback; able to hear constructive criticism and improve upon work

Responsibilities:

  • Energize and lead both the internal team and external design resources from idea phase to commercialization team of UI developers, including internal team reviews, and presentations

  • Provides clear feedback to other UI developers, recognizing different talents and areas of growth

  • Ensure each stakeholder understands his/her role and responsibilities throughout the creative process

  • Become an ‘expert’ business user of CMS (Content Management System), Personalization (Monetate or like platforms); be the driver of the CMC tool and ensure we are maximizing our potential within this tool

  • Support the digital strategy through the development of engaging digital experiences that are meaningful to the customer, meet the end user’s needs, and align with the brand positioning and business objectives

  • Partner across teams on personalization and design experiences both on site and through marketing campaigns, to ensure a cohesive vision, look, and feel.

  • Establish and document UI Engineering best practices as it relates to user experience, performance, SEO, and accessibility.

  • Establish SLA’s for Omnichannel engineering tasks and ensure the team delivers on them

  • Take on complex problems and work toward simple solutions; demonstrate excellent communication skills to talk through and present solutions with senior leaders, as well as technical and non-technical personnel

  • Collaborate with UI designers to analyze users needs and design, develop, and improve native applications and new technologies.

  • Serve as a transformational change agent; embed ‘customer’ experience into everything we do

  • Communicate development strategies and rationale to key stakeholders, and work with your team and peers to collaborate on solutions

  • Manage and hire team to lead and drive personalization on site
