What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

• Design, Code and implement solutions from concept to final hand-off to customers

• Estimate technical effort, work breakdown structure, risks and dependencies

• Optimize APIs for maximum performance, reliability and scalability

• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems

• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

• Contribute to and work with fellow engineers, designers and other partners to develop and maintain application

• Collaborate with other engineers, participate in code review, contribute in design review

• Experiment with new and emerging technologies

What We’re Looking For :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

• 5 years in depth experience in Java/J2EE, Java8+, React JS, Node JS, multithreading, Spring Boot, Micro services, JPA, JUnit, Mocking Frameworks, TDD

• Strong experience in designing, building and maintaining RESTful APIs

• Strong experience in microservices framework

• Strong experience in data structures, algorithms and design patterns

• Experience in ReactJS and the ecosystem around it, debugging, building and manipulating DOM's (desired)

• Experience with throughput batch processing and/or streaming systems (Kafka, Spark)

• Experience in SQL (MS SQL, Postgress) databases and No-SQL (Cassandra)

• Experience in Cloud technologies like Containers, Kubernetes, Docker

• Experience in continuous integration, deployment, production monitoring, and zero downtime systems

• Experience in AWS is a plus

• Knowledge in Travel industry is a plus

• Team player with a curious mindset willing to take on new challenges

• Fluent in English
