Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the industry, located in KAPOLEI, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, supporting the monthly and annual closing processes, preparing and tracking budgets, and enhancing accounting systems and controls. Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and determine the necessary accounting entries

• Assist in the monthly and annual closing processes, including reconciliations and drafting of journal entries

• Prepare and track budgets, ensuring alignment with company policies

• Research and apply accurate accounting standards for transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies

• Create and maintain detailed schedules and supporting documents for management reporting and audits

• Support the development and improvement of accounting systems, programs, and procedures

• Enhance internal controls and processes through monitoring and documentation

• Provide necessary materials to internal and external auditors during yearly audits

• Investigate and resolve audit findings, discrepancies, and non-compliance issues

• Manage daily department activities, ensuring all goals and deadlines are met

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and propose improvements to accounting methods and procedures as needed.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in account reconciliation

• Demonstrated experience with balance sheet reconciliation

• Proficient in bank reconciliations

• In-depth knowledge of general ledger operations

• Experience in preparing and posting journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Proven experience with month-end close procedures
