Ford Motor Company Upfitter Flow Analyst in Kansas City, Missouri

In this position...

Lead day to day oversight of vehicle movement at Kansas City Up-fitters to ensure vehicles are shipping to plan.

What you'll do...

  • Work with carriers and 3rd party logistics providers to maintain on time performance targets for Finished Vehicles deliveries and pick-ups from local upfitters

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve daily operational and logistical issues that affect deliveries and logistics performance

  • Monitor and reconcile inventory flow and vehicle aging issues

  • Maintain 100% Inventory Accuracy

  • Contractual carrier performance management

  • Identify and investigate operational issues impacting the handling of vehicles in the network

  • Develop tracking metrics and tools to improve and monitor key KPI's

  • Maintain and track Cognosos Tags

  • Lead the field team efforts, actions, and projects to reduce inventory dwell at Up-fitters

  • Communicate or presenting to Senior Ford Leadership, regularly on Up-fitter performance

  • Work with Ford Pro on Up-Fitter Performance metrics and milestone timeliness and accuracy

  • Develop thorough understanding of industry trends and technology advancements through research and benchmarking exercises

  • Position located in Kansas City, Mo.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor degree

  • 3+ years of Supply Chain or Operations Management work experience

  • 3+ years Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor degree in: Supply Chain or Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other applicable degrees

  • Upfitter work experience or knowledge

  • Ability to positively influence change

  • Ability to handle complexity and multi-tasking

  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups to resolve concerns

  • Strong organizational skills required

  • Ability to make decisions and work independently

  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups (internal / external to the company)

  • Proficiency in Alteryx and other big data mining tools

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
