If you're an Electrical Engineer looking for the next step in your career, we should talk! An engineering design client of Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Kansas City, MO. Youll help develop strategies and innovative solutions for Electrical Engineering Designs in Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle Power, and Biomass Plants. Additionally, you will assist in leading engineering design teams on Power Generation and Heavy Industrial projects.

 - Leading the design of the electrical systems and reviewing other designs performed by staff to ensure it is technically correct and appropriate.

 - Coordinating and approving the preparation of material specifications and construction standards for electrical systems.

 - Organizing, managing and providing technical support for the electrical generation, transmission and distribution system and electrical design of energy/industrial facilities.

 - Scheduling and performing range of estimated costs related to electrical system construction projects; informs contractors, customers and coordinates with other divisions as necessary.

 - Coordinating work with and receiving approval of other departments including writing contract documents for construction and electrical system planning projects.

 - Conducting studies and making recommendations regarding the operating capacity of the electrical system.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering

   - Professional Engineering License

• 7+ years of experience working on power generation projects OR heavy industrial projects OR renewable biomass projects - Prior experience as a lead electrical engineer null
