Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for full-cycle assembly and testing of stainless steel lab equipment using hand tools. You will be working with blueprints or schematics daily and are expected to interpret and implement them effectively. You will also need to troubleshoot and repair problems, exercising good judgment in the selection of tools, materials and equipment. Additionally, this role requires the ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs. The working hours for this role are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for additional hours.

Hard Skills

  • Product assembly

  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring schematics, bill of materials or associated work instructions

  • Troubleshooting and repairing problems

  • Selection of tools, materials and equipment

  • Ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, Missouri.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean and organized sheet metal environment. The facility is not temperature controlled, and covers an area of 160,000 sq ft. Steel toed boots are required for safety, and a casual dress code of jeans and t-shirt is acceptable. You will be working in a team of approximately 10 people in this department.
