Honeywell Logistics Engineer in Kansas City, Missouri

Summary

The Mechanical Engineer II (Logistics) role is a professional level position responsible for supporting shipping components in a safe and secure manner based on drawing requirements and regulations. These functions include research, design, and developing work instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees product packaging process and activities

  • Prepares written work instructions for packaging operations based on drawing specifications

  • Ensures compliance with US Department of Transportation and international regulations for the shipment of hazardous materials.

  • Designs and fabricates packaging for a variety of products.

  • Interacts with design agencies, suppliers and internal departments to assist in resolving design, development, production and acceptance issues

  • Requires certification training in the shipment of hazardous materials per 49CFR/IATA

  • Supports continuous improvement projects and capacity forecasting

You Must Have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business

  • United States Citizenship

  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
