Actalent Assistant Project Manager in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Description

This role involves working on multi-family and mixed-use construction projects in the Kansas City Metro area. You will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders, including engineers and subcontractors, to determine project needs. Your tasks will include setting performance goals and deadlines, planning construction processes, estimating costs, and ensuring the project remains on budget. You will also be responsible for supervising staff, providing constructive feedback, and regularly reporting on project progress. Your role will also involve planning inspections, obtaining construction permits, implementing safety and quality guidelines, and managing material stock and orders. You will ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly and be responsible for resolving any on-site issues and emergencies.

Skills and Experience

  • Construction management degree

  • Proficient with excel (filter columns/export report, simple excel tasks, graph)

  • Experience MS Projects

  • Organization and strong communication

  • Preconstruction

  • Onscreen take-offs

  • Securing bids

  • Bid planning

  • Exporting and filtering reports in Excel

  • Contract assembly

  • Scope of work writing

  • Invoicing planning

  • Project management

  • Submittal review

Work Environment

The work will be conducted in a construction trailer and office environment.
