Allied Universal® is hiring a Assistant Branch Manager. This Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for providing leadership and operational support by assisting the Branch Manager or General Manager with oversight, compliance, and general positive direction of staff for the assigned branch. The Assistant Branch Manager will assist with guidance, mentoring, coaching, and counseling for the assigned branch operational management staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In partnership with Branch Manager, responsible for the day-to-day management of the branch office, to include but not limited to including client relations, new job startups/transitions of new accounts, compliance, and employee relations

  • Ensure client relations are maintained within Company standards, including attending meetings, regular contact with clients, proactive problem resolution, and oversight regarding client issues as needed

  • Manage day to day operations of the branch, specifically coaching, developing. and guiding the branch staff to perform efficiently and effectively; identify strengths and talents of current staff and train to areas of opportunity; provide direct supervision of staff, ensure company policies and procedures (including reports and other measurement tools) are in place and being followed, administer coaching and disciplinary actions, and provide support to branch staff in execution of their job duties

  • Implement and monitor ongoing compliance with all company-wide programs such as licensing, investigations (employee and general liability/auto), employee benefit programs, office procedures, company policies, employee coaching/discipline, training programs, and all other such programs as they relate to the effective operation of the branch through the WinTeam, ABI

  • Regularly attend events to ensure compliance with contractual agreement and performance of managers, supervisors, and crew per Company protocol; ensure that managers and supervisors are continuously training and identify future leadership.

  • Responsible for branch profitability, overseeing control of all financial impacts to the branch, including daily and weekly unbilled overtime and training expenses; monitor daily and weekly reports and take timely corrective action to ensure compliance with policies and that responsible staff members are performing to expectations; generate and submit reports to Company Financial team

  • Oversee the wage and salary administration for personnel, pursuant to corporate and state specific policies and procedures

  • Assist the Branch Manager in planning and executing on both a short-term and long-term basis, for future operational growth and expansion

  • Direct and administer the core security operation of the branch, providing guidance and support on all operational issues related to client relations.

  • Monitor and direct the administration of operating expenses in all areas (e.g., labor, uniforms, and training) where they pertain to ongoing operative profitability; monitor direct costs on a constant basis and reports on these issues to the Branch Manager or Regional Director

  • In partnership with sales team may present contacts and/or service and support commitments for customer approval when the sales process is finalized, ensuring customer business needs are met while representing the best interests of AUES and maintaining the highest level of professional standards.

  • Oversee and work closely with functional department leads on recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and event operations

  • Conduct internal branch weekly meeting where all staff participate and review upcoming events, product levels, potential sales, employee/employer related challenges, weekly staff schedule, hiring and orientation date(s)/time(s), etc.

  • Ensures Company policies and procedures are properly disseminated and followed at all pertinent levels; coordinate and align Allied Universal existing policy into the unique event-based industry standards of which Event Services is engaged within

  • Effectively handle and resolve client, employee, and customer complaints

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either criminal justice, sales, marketing, business administration, or hospitality with a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a leadership capacity

  • Associate’s Degree in either criminal justice, sales, marketing, business administration, or hospitality with a minimum of four (4) years of work experience in a leadership capacity

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the event industry or other service-related industry

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines

  • Proven track record of excellence in customer service and financial management (awards, top rankings, etc.)

  • Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships

  • Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes

  • Willingness to attend professional networking or community events in the evenings

  • Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology

  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Law enforcement and/or military experience

  • Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of security industry
