Robert Half Account Development Representative in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

We are seeking a sales professional to join a manufacturing team located in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in an Account Development function. The individual will be part of our Inside Sales Team, working with established accounts and expanding their own personal portfolios. The role focuses on selling physical consumer goods in a business-to-business environment to a range of outlets including gift specialty stores, drug stores, bookstores, hardware stores, and grocery stores.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular contact with established customer base to assess inventory levels and identify growth opportunities

• Liaise with new customers from our established lead list through our CRM system

• Follow up on various communication channels such as emails, voicemails, faxes, or web inquiries with interested companies to develop a program ensuring repeat business

• Notify customers and leads about new product releases, promotional discount programs, growth opportunities, and rewards programs

• Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities during verbal exchanges

• Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information via email or mail

• Spend time explaining and demonstrating the features and benefits of products that will enhance or grow a small business' retail footprint

• Navigate to decision-makers and generate interest in the product opportunities

• Use skills in B2B Sales, Account Management, CRM - Customer Relationship Manager, Microsoft, Generate Leads.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in B2B Sales within the manufacturing industry

• Proven ability in Account Management with a focus on maintaining long-term client relationships

• Proficiency in using CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) for managing client interactions

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities

• Understanding of sales support functions within the manufacturing sector

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with various departments

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
