Responsibilities

Providence Medical Center (PMC) is looking for an exceptionalper diem, variable shift Public Safety/Security Officer to join our Security team. The Safety/Security Officer duties include, but are not limited to:

• performs security services, including electronic surveillance, systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds, and functions of PBX

• coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors

• enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement

• follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care

• participates in employee awareness and education

• driving as needed for company business

• other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, required

• certification from IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety), preferred

• valid driver’s license upon hire and maintained current

• experience in healthcare security or related field, preferred

• current DMV report
