Hospice Music Therapist - Elara Caring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized music therapy to patients, addressing their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop care plans and achieve therapeutic goals.

  • Build meaningful relationships with patients and families to foster trust and engagement.

  • Adapt therapy sessions based on patient progress, preferences, and needs.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and patient outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for Patient Care: You are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and have a positive attitude that inspires those around you.

  • Strong Communication Skills: You can clearly communicate with patients, families, and team members to enhance care and therapeutic outcomes.

  • Reliable Transportation: Ability to travel to patients' homes to deliver care.

  • Qualifications:

  • A degree in Music Therapy from a program approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).

  • Current MT-BC certification (required).

  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in an approved AMTA site.

  • Proficiency in playing at least one instrument.
