Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3 and 5 axis CNC Mills to machine seals and gaskets for the oil and gas industries. The individual will perform quality checks on parts using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges, and will be working on Mazak Integrex CNC machines. Responsibilities include performing set ups, offsets, and tooling changes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3 and 5 axis CNC Mills.

• Machine seals and gaskets for the oil and gas industries.

• Perform quality checks on parts using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.

• Work on Mazak Integrex CNC machines.

• Perform set ups, offsets, and tooling changes.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.

• Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring instruments.

• Proficiency in setting up jobs and changing tools.

• Willingness to learn and train.

• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC Mills and Lathes.

• Programming skills.

• Knowledge of production processes and quality inspection.

Work Environment

This is a high-volume machining environment with over 150 CNC machinists working across all shifts. The facility maintains a very clean and organized setting, adhering to lean principles. There are 20 employees on the floor at all times. We have openings on Weekend A and Weekend B shifts. Weekend A is from Friday to Sunday one week, 4:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Thursday to Sunday the next week, same hours. Training will be conducted on 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM until the individual is ready for their assigned shift. Flexibility in training schedules is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
