Eaton Corporation Six Sigma Quality Engineer in Juarez, Mexico

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Six Sigma Quality Engineer. ​

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provides a deep understanding of the Six Sigma methodology, emphasizing not only the techniques but also leading the team on the completion of Six Sigma projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare, schedule, execute, and lead Six Sigma trainings. Develop and deliver training modules for Yellow and Green Belt Certification and support candidates throughout certification achievement.

• Define, analyze, and implement process improvement in pursuit of operational excellence and the achievement of Eaton’s cost out objectives. This in collaboration with Operational Excellence, cross-functional teams, and staff leadership.

• Develop and deliver training modules for Leadership Team, Plant Management, Maintenance and Operations Management, Process Engineers, etc. such as A3 Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, etc.

• Coach departments at all levels (from operator level to senior leadership level) on proper use of the Six Sigma tools.

• Performs and leads warranty claim and failure mode investigation and analysis for Transformers; resolves warranty issues and promptly responds to customer concerns and requirements.

• Provides quality performance feedback to the Transformers Value Stream Manager and reports quality metrics. performance: DPPMs, CONC, Internal PPMs, Voice of Customer.

• Maintains constant communication with the multi-functional team of the Value Stream and leads corrective, preventive, and improvement measures.

• Keeps constant communication between Product Line, Sales, Customer Service, and Production to monitor and follow-up on warranty replacements for Transformers Value Stream.

• Leads multi-functional team in Basic Problem Solving.

• Leads Basic Problem Solving at tier 1 level, providing coaching and guidance to Production Leaders.

• Ensures policies are correctly deployed within the Value Stream of the Eaton Quality Management System.

• Supports and proposes cost out initiatives impacting the overall business.

• Direct supervision of Quality Control measures in the manufacturing line when a quality issue is detected in raw material and/or production process.

• Administrates a group of Lead Auditor and Quality Auditor for all shifts of the Transformers Value Stream.

• Creates quality control plan and updates as necessary.

• Establishes control methods, measures line capability, and performs Gage R&R for measuring methods.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

• Six Sigma Black Belt certified.

• Engineering degree, electrical or industrial engineering preferred.

• English proficiency level (C1-C2).

• Core tools.

• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills (DMAIC, 8D, Pareto, 5 Why’s, etc.).

• Proficiency with Statistical Process Control.

• Ability to communicate at all levels.

• Strong computer applications skills (Minitab, data analysis); PowerBI is a plus.
