Guaranty Bank is looking for a Commercial Banking Officer to join our team! This individual, under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, will originate and maintain commercial banking relationships. This role will entail identifying potential commercial businesses, interviewing applicants, analyzing data, approving or denying credit requests, communicating decisions, and closing approved loans. They will be responsible for responding to questions concerning all aspects of commercial banking from various sources and will be responsible for servicing commercial loan and deposit relationships. They will manage a large number of business relationships while producing quality commercial loans to achieve acceptable rates of return for the loan relationship and enhancing the relationship by focusing on gathering commercial deposit balances and identifying treasury management opportunities.

Ideal candidates would have a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience with 3-5 years' experience in lending. Ability to manage complex credits. Strong customer retention and expansion skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to organize and analyze complex financial information. PC knowledge including spreadsheets and word processing capabilities. Involvement with community and/or civic organizations.
