Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Plating Teams operate assigned automated plating machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

This position is a swing shift role working 1st shift one week and 2nd shift the following week.

Monday through Friday first shift works 7 am to 3 pm and second shift works 3pm to 11 pm

Swing shift receives a 5% shift differential.

What your background should look like:

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, performing all work in accordance with established local and corporate safety procedures.

  • Must be able to complete Certification of Confined Space, LOTO, and DOT Hazardous Materials training.

  • Has knowledge of chemicals and safety associated with their use and storage.

  • Works independently to achieve team goals and directives.

  • Effectively communicates needed repairs and tasks to appropriate channels.

  • Works closely with maintenance personnel to develop, fabricate, and assemble equipment modifications of a less complex nature, making recommendations to improve design and eliminate possible functional problems.

  • Performs daily walk around including gauge checks, tank level inspections, leak inspections, pump inspections, and other related tasks.

  • Performs routine maintenance to deionized water systems, centrifuges, evaporators, mist eliminators, tank filters, heat exchangers, pumps, tank cleaning, trench cleaning/inspection, exhaust duct cleaning/inspection, plumbing repairs, etc.

  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment. Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repairs as needed, to ensure equipment is functioning safely and at maximum efficiency.

  • Inspects mechanical parts such as bearings, belts, shafts springs, cams, and clutches for wear, damage, or dimensional chances using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Replaces and modifies new or used parts, working from blueprints, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, or from referencing other broken and worn parts.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrates mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical skills.

  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions, read diagrams, and understand directions.

  • Use of hand and power tools, as well as measuring devices.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $21.00 - $23.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
