Experience

Must demonstrate good verbal communication skills in telephone etiquette and business letters, and news releases. Must be trustworthy and use good judgement while upholding confidentiality. Experience with computer programs such as Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Access (or similar) helpful.

Physical

Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal soft tones. Uses computer, typewriter, adding machine, copier, and facsimile. Frequent sitting, standing and walking.

JOB SUMMARY

The marketing intern is responsible for performing some clerical duties in the department, which includes marketing, public relations, and community relations. These may include answering calls and relays messages as appropriate. The intern will assist with community relations events and provides support with booth set-up for fairs, festivals, and health screenings. The duties also include management of physician database and CME program. Takes initiative to make internship a learning experience. A one-day hospital orientation may be necessary.
