FMH Conveyors is seeking a dynamic, well-organized, self-starter to join our team as aFinancial Planner and Analyst. TheFinacial Planner and Analyst reports to the Director of Finance and serves as a supporting member of the finance team and is responsible for the financial planning and analysis functions for the Finance Division. The FP&A role will support the financial health of the division through planning and budgeting, financial planning, management and performance reporting, and forecasting and modelling.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

  • Provides day-to-day FP&A functions for the division,

  • Liaising with senior management, heads of departments and other key leadership figures.

  • Development of ad hoc reporting as required by management and/or corporate

  • Perform variance analysis of results compared to budget, prior year, and regular forecasts on summary and / or detailed level

  • Perform margin analysis by part / product line / customer and make suggestions for improvement in all areas

  • Prepare company policies and procedures as needed

  • Preparing financial and strategic plans for individual departments and the wider organization.

  • Building annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidating them into one master budget.

  • Analyzing past financial performance, preparing competitor analysis, and examining market trends along with commentary for management.

  • Creating financial models to predict growth and forecast performance.

  • Analyzing previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain discrepancies.

  • Evaluating new and existing projects, investments, and assets to determine their validity and appraise their value.

  • Recommending improvements and use of financing structures such as debt and equity when appropriate.

  • Delegates appropriate responsibilities and authority to area team members

  • Preparation of annual operating and capital budget with management input

  • Effective business partner across functional areas to drive business results

  • Maintain integrity of accounting systems including the administration and maintenance of all accounting systems and processes

  • Maintains confidentiality pertaining to all aspects of team member and company matters

  • Ability to problem solve and make sound recommendations pertaining to organization effectiveness

  • Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions

  • Create and maintain an effective internal controls environment to ensure compliance and mitigate risks · Support GAAP financial audits and other related capabilities as necessary

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or business related field

  • EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ experience in accounting – Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience preferred

  • Experience in a supervisory accounting role

  • ERP systems experience or a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs

  • Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite-especially Excel (Advanced spreadsheets, pivot tables, macros, etc.) and Power BI

  • Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills

  • Travel 25% required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to stand, walk, bend, twist and reach with arms and hands. Good visual acuity to see computer screens and read fine print on a variety of reports.
